Where can I RENT an F1 car or F1 full-sized replica car in the USA for a trade show exhibit?
Where can I RENT an F1 car or F1 full-sized replica car in the USA for a trade show exhibit? I've found lots of sites and companies based in the UK or Asia but none in the USA. I would consider a replica purchase as well if necessary. I am open to all racing teams at the moment. Thanks in advance. No this is not a joke. My coworker claims he found one in FL that we will rent and is within our budget. He hasn't shared his contact with me yet. I'll try post where we are renting the car when I know more. I suspect he may have found an Indy car, so I'm leaving question out there still. Thanks for the responses thus far.

- F1 isn't real big in the US, so your chances are slim, you could try some of the collectors that operate out of big road racing tracks like Laguna Seca or Road America but still it wont be the latest or greatest the manufactures have to offer, F1s a kinda funny about that.
- You must be the most optimistic person I have every see. It would cost so much to rent an original F1 car. Most are sold to associates of the team, or given as a gift. Nick Heidfeld was given his BMW from this year by Peter Sauber as a thank you gift for his services. I really don't think that this is the place to be asking. Try asking around. I mean if you plan to show off an F1 car surely you would have contacts that could help you out! I hope that you have a big bank account cause otherwise your up a creek without a paddle. The more I write the more convinced I am that this is a joke. Its just the most bizarre question I have seen in a long time.
- This is not a strange question at all. Most teams keep old cars for just this purpose. They keep what's called a rolling chassis, a bottom plate with full cowling and bodywork but no engine or gearbox. They are usually 1 to a few years older than the current season. I think you can buy one for around 100-200K, renting it should not be very expensive. If you want a current season show car that will be a lot more difficult I think. Your best bet is to contact the F1 teams directly and ask for the marketing department. They'll be able to tell you what's available or give you contact information for which third party promotional or marketing agencies they have their rolling chassis' at. Should be a piece of cake. PS: Also bear in mind the transport costs to and from the US, but the F1 teams marketing departments should be able to help you out with this as well.
- there are old f1 cars used in racing schools across the usa but you will prob. need to call the racing schools to ask if u can "borrow" an expensive racer for a weekend and there are also simulators that look like f1 cars.
