I need to create a portable wall that will be easy to transport on a pallet every month. Instead of taking the aquariums out of the box at each trade show, I decided to make a show wall with stackable durable boxes. I can keep the aquariums mounted on at all times saving me time to reinstall it each time. I've thought of a few ways to accomplish my goal. I can either make a framed box 65" w x 46" h x 12" d (2 stacked) with some sort of heavy duty 1"x2" stud as the frame then put a light weight PVC sheet over the framed box or just use a light heavy duty plywood as the box. If I framed a box, will 1"x2" frame stud hold the weight of 300 pounds of another framed box (including aquariums and water) on top? Is 12" depth for the top and bottom of the box be enough to support the 300 pound on top? If I use plywood instead, will it be lighter weight than using 1" x 2" + PVC sheet?
