How many nails do you need to build a 1200 to 1500 square foot house?

The house will be 3 or 4 bedrooms, it is one story, asphalt shingles, the living area is open into the kitchen. This is a project for a trade show booth that we are hoping will create interest in our local Habitat for Humanity Chapter. Any estimated figures will be great! Thank you.

2. quite difficult to say because the number of nails is dependent on the number of things that you need to nail and how much nails will be used not just for the initial attachments but for reinforcements as well.

5. It is really going to be difficult to determine how many nails you would need to use. There are a lot of different types of nails that are used in building a home. You will have your framing nails, roofing nails, siding nails, trim nails, concrete contractors will use duplex nails Architecture would definitely play an important role as well. I would suggest taking a set of prints to a supplier and they should be able to give you a rough estimate of what you would need.
6. Probably around 6000 by the time you frame it, drywall it, roof it and miscellaneous attachments.
7. I'm a builder in the uk ..we never build a wooden house ..we are better than that ..but have been a builder for over forty years ..and have built my fair share of stud walls ....and put down countless floors ..bet I'm not far wrong at 12000
