Trade Show Exhibit Display Booths

Copyright infringement! If I change an image!?

I'm purchasing a photo from Gettyimages for my company. it has usage rights such as i can only use it on the days that I have told them, and in America, and only for specific things, in my case a trade show booth panel. however, once I have that image, and I change it I.E, the color, or blur it out, or some elements of the photo.. does not that photo then become mine, as it is no longer recognizable as the original photo. I'm pretty sure that I heard something about this in school, and I just need someone to confirm it for me... thanks!!!

1. I'm not too sure about it either. I think if it's a slight change...ie blur, color, etc. it's still copyrighted and you must obtain permission first as you are messing with someone else's copyrighted art.
