Trade Show Exhibit Display Booths

How much would it cost to put up a product booth at a trade show or sporting event?

We are desining a product for our school venture project at Laurier University and in order to determine overall marketing costs, we need this very effective form of campaign and communication...the only issue is its tough to find this cost

Public Comments

  1. depends on how big the booth is and what show
  2. That is a tought question to answer because it could be as little as $20 or over $100 per day. Some shows last 1 day and some last a week or more. I would average $35/day if I were estimating.
  3. That is kind of like asking how much does a car cost. It depends on the show the space rental fees how much of the display you might design and build & how much you farm out. Will the display require power, will there be giveaways involved will you pay employees to man the display who will tear it down & haul it off, does it need maintenance during the show etc etc.
  4. depends on the show
  5. I suggest you go to a tradeshow directory website that lists various tradeshows in different categories, then find one where they provide the costs for putting a product booth. One great site is TSNN http://www.tsnn.com . If the website of the show is not given, simply search for it on the Web For example: PGA Merchandise Show - the world's largest golf exhibition of golf products and merchandise http://www.pgamerchandiseshow.com/app/homepage.cfm?appname=100248&moduleID=3759&LinkID=24494&campaignid=38043&iUserCampaignID=27400357 . Their costings are: Basic Packages Hole-In-One Package Eagle - Focus on New Products 10x10 booth space - $4,275 ($4,895 value) 10x20 booth space - $7,475 ($8,095 value) New Product Center Entry New Product Review Listing Show Daily New Product Showcase Ad Birdie - Includes basic operational needs 10x10 booth space - $3,825 ($4,125 value) 10x20 booth space - $7,155 ($7,450 value) Standard Booth Carpeting 6 ft. Draped Table with 2 Chairs Show Directory Logo or Shaded Listing Photo with Web Listing PAR - For Exhibitors who just need space! 10x10 booth space - $3,350 ($3,775 value) 10x20 booth space - $6,550 ($6,975 value) Show Directory Logo or Shaded Listing Photo with Web Listing Check out various trade shows and look at their booth pricing, then determine your cost.
  6. These prices vary, you would have to contact the person or business hosting the event.
  7. Just contact the people that set up trade shows. Usually if you have a good show lets say for 3 days it usually ends up costing you around the 1000.00 mark.
  8. It varies greatly between trade shows and events. You can spend $50K for a 20X20 booth at a national show or $200 for a 10X10 at a state association show. Decide which shows or events would target your market and call for prices or look them up on line. Normally, the actual buyers and users of a product or service don't go to the big shows because the accomodation expenses in a major city are so high. The big shows are PR events for the press and the company executives who don't normally make the buying decisions. The smaller association shows are held in smaller towns and you get the real customers attending and you get more face time and visibilty for your money.
  9. As you know, this depends on a number of factors, but if I had to pick a range for a start up I would say between $2,500 - $5,000 for your first national tradeshow.
  10. I just paid $1,100 for a 9x10' booth at a national convention that expects to see about 7-9,000 in attendance. This is a convention geared toward the professional counseling community
