Trade Show Exhibit Display Booths

If you were walking down the mall, what would grab your attention as far as booth displays?

I'm starting my own booth in a mall and I need ideas on colors and other ideas that will make the booth stand out.

Public Comments

  1. Women in bikinis
  2. Two things. Merchandise I want to buy, or look at. Or a crowd of people. Keep in mind, and double check your contract, you may be severely limited by regulations from the mall. Some malls don't care and others carry tape measures and paint chips to make sure you are in compliance. Good luck to you, I managed booths/kiosks at the mall for over 5 years during the Christmas season (up to 13 separate malls at a time) and my gawd it can suck! Plan on many hours of nothingness and no sales, overly anal mall managers who nitpick every darn thing and you will soon see that the "Christmas Spirit" does not extend to those of us that are trying to make a living dealing with the shoppers. I hope you are successful and what will you be selling?
  3. A primer might be the movie "Mannequin", but 3d objects, movement, especially moving eyes and bobbing heads. Things that look funny and cute, animated, it all depends on what you're trying to petal! for example; you're trying to sell shoes, you have a mechanical hand contantly placing and then quickly removing the shoes into a hole, this way, the consumer is first intrigued by the shoes that were just placed, and then angered when the nice shoes are taken away. blah blah blah etc..
  4. People are attracted to several things including lights, movement and other people. Can you put a brightly colored light on the top of your booth? Red is especially good as red draws the most attention. Do you have some thing that moves in the air? Again something with bright colors will draw peoples attention. People always want to see what other people are looking at. Like a train wreck, people will stop and gawk. What do you have that will make people stop and gawk. It doesn't even have to be something you are selling, think giant gorilla at car dealerships, just to grab someones attention. Good luck.
  5. COLOR, nice vivid color. Something vertical too, so not everything is positioned on a flat table. The eye needs to move up and down.
