How do can I display my artwork in an art show?
I have a booth assigned but this is my first time in an art show and I need to display my artwork. Most of the pieces are printed on canvas gallery wraped or framed. Sizes between 36x48 and 8x10

- First you sign in a near by art show that you know by calling thier station. Then when you sign up give them a sample of your drawings meaning show them (art crew) a drawing of yours.Next you wait until they call and tell you they accept.Remember it's not that easy the art people don't always accept your drawings or photographs.Good Luck!!
- I would do some test runs against fabric. See if your work looks good against white, black, or some other color. Avoid prints as they will distract from the work. I would work against white or black only. If there is any way you can rig up good lighting in the booth, that will help as well. Remember, presentation is everything. Make sure everything is balanced, clean, organized. Get a nice tray or dish or cardholder and make SURE you have business cards full in it. They may not have money to buy at the show and want to contact you later. If you can afford it, nicely frame your best pieces. Or just one large great piece in the center of the booth, framed. I hope this helps, and that your first booth show is a success!
- Make sure you have some kind of business card or visual print out that people can take with them. Often they don't buy right away, they need to think about it and then they contact you later. Have a sign in book for anyone who wants to be on your mailing list so you can notify them the next time you show. Use this first time as a learning experience and get out to see how the other artists do their booths. Good luck!
